Bunaken Diving Trip

Overview

Bunaken National Marine Park was officially established in 1991 and is one of Indonesia’s earliest marine parks, covering 89,065 hectares—97% of which is pristine tropical sea, with the remaining 3% comprising the islands of Bunaken, Manado Tua, Mantehage, Nain, and Siladen. Its crystal-clear waters, reaching depths of 1,566 meters in Manado Bay with visibility up to 35–40 meters and warm temperatures of 27–29°C, are home to extraordinary marine biodiversity, including 7 of the world’s 8 giant clam species, around 70 coral genera (compared to just 10 in Hawaii), and possibly over 2,500 fish species. Your adventure begins with a 7:30 AM pickup from your hotel in Manado, followed by transfer to a local dive center for equipment fitting and a one-hour boat ride to Bunaken Island (weather permitting), with lunch served on board.
