The Anoa Breeding Centre near Manado in North Sulawesi is an ex-situ conservation facility established in 2015 to protect the endangered Anoa, the world’s smallest wild cattle, found only on Sulawesi. Listed as Endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, fewer than 2,500 mature individuals remain in the wild. The centre offers a 2-hour educational tour with a short film and guided visit to observe these shy animals under strict quiet and safe-distance rules.
